Crisis/Intake Services

The goals of the crisis/intake services are to alleviate/minimize acute crisis, and to reduce mental health related visits to hospital emergency rooms. All individuals will be treated with respect, confidentiality and dignity and will be assessed for appropriateness of service.

What We Offer

The Service is available by telephone on a 24 hour basis to individuals Frontenac Community. Additional service includes:

  • 24 hour mobile crisis response services
  • Initial intake & assessment of all referrals to FCMHS
  • Screening of individuals for immediate needs and referrals to appropriate agencies
  • Preventative short term stabilization and coping strategies
  • Crisis Intervention
  • Wheelchair Accessibility

How to Access Services

Anyone wishing to access the crisis line should call 544-4229 or TTY at 544-4349

Trained, professional staff members are available to deal with any inquiry. If required, a mobile unit will respond to the caller's location.

This is a crisis service and calls are treated with respect, confidentiality and dignity.

Callers requiring other help will be referred to the appropriate community service.
